Moving from our old app

Welcome back! We've rebuilt Beacon from the ground up into a new, more secure app. Here's everything you need to get set up — it only takes a few minutes.

Getting set up

  1. 1

    Create your account

This is a brand-new app, so you'll sign up fresh with your email and a new password. It only takes a minute, there's no credit card needed, and every tool is free — no subscription, nothing locked.

  2. 2

    Verify your identity

To keep everyone safe, we ask each parent to upload a photo of their ID once. It's stored privately — your co-parent can never see it — and it's only used to confirm you're a real parent.

  3. 3

    Connect with your co-parent

Invite the other parent straight from inside the app — we'll email them a secure link to join your Co-Parenting Hub. If they invite you first, just tap the link in their email to join.

  4. 4

    Add your children

Add each child's details so your messages, calendar, handovers and expenses are all organised around them.

  5. 5

    You're all set

That's it — you're ready to message, share your calendar, log handovers and expenses, and store documents, all in one calm, secure place.

Good to know

What happens to my old information?

Your old account and history stay available to view on the previous app for a short transition period, so nothing disappears overnight while you get settled here. Going forward, new messages, events and expenses should be added in this new app.

Why can't I just use my old login?

The new app is a separate, more secure system, so old passwords don't carry across. You'll set a fresh password when you sign up — a one-time step that keeps everyone's account properly protected.

Does my co-parent need to do this too?

Yes — each parent sets up their own account. Whoever signs up first can invite the other straight from inside the app, so you end up linked in the same Co-Parenting Hub.
